113015 Week 2…In Pictures November 30, 2015 Our Week in Pictures Playing outside in the yard of our apartment The parking lot at IKEA. Water is absorbed into the ground in each of the parking spaces allowing green grass to grow. I imagine this also helps with flooding. Three flights of stairs lead to our apartment at the top. Guten Tag! Grateful this little girl, “Ms. Adventure” (Adi for short), is with us. Daddy and E walked to our village bakery and brought back treats for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. The boys think this is Blackbeard when he was a baby! We visited our first Christmas Market in downtown Kaiserslautern on Thanksgiving day. Warming up with hot cocoa while trying to figure out the bus system so we can get back home. We received our first shipment from the movers. Yay!! We spent a couple of afternoons driving to and through surrounding villages to get a lay of the land and try to figure out where to look for our permanent housing. The boys’ car rug came in our first shipment. I’m so glad we packed it! With cloudy skies being more the norm in this season, we have a new appreciation for the sunlight. We try to take advantage of it as much as we can. Gotta get our Vitamin D! The open space surrounding our village Taking a short hike in the woods near our home Walking in the rain I just learned about this…its a parking tag that we keep in our car. I’m still not sure exactly when we use it but I do know that you turn the dial to show when you arrived and stick it on your dash. Our Advent wreath in the making. We purchased the candles at the Christmas Market. This weekend, we added greens, pinecones and acorns we collected from the woods. We are thinking of looking for one more candle, the Christ candle, at another Christmas market. On Sunday evening, we started our Advent readings. love from Germany~ Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Related
